Notes – August 2010 – Board meeting

• Team evaluations are set for
• HS: Sept 9, 13, 16. 6:30pm NESZ
• MS: Sept 14,  7:15, Penn
• we need to get a message into the school... maybe through Fr Casey?

• Parents Meeting will be held during the evaluations as follows
• Sept 13th for HS, 7-8pm
• Sept 14th for MS, 7:30 - 8:30
• Larry to line up Showcase speaker for HS meeting; 15 - 20 mins of talking tops!
• Liz to draft handouts with names, numbers, team times, etc

• Fundraising ideas we agreed on
• 50/50s at Parent's meetings and each home game. Need 2 parents to handle.
• RCIH Christmas balls. Nora to order and sell at games
• Seat cushions and bracelets - Liz to order and have for sale at games
• Hoagie sales - we'd like to have 3 this year. We need to set dates now with school. Who will do?
• Kim is going to get dates for a Hockey bus trip... maybe to Madison Sq Garden.
• Liz to get shirts made to sell on Evaluation nights.

• Practice schedules will be the same as last year:
• Varsity: Mon and Thurs Sept - Oct. Once games start, practice will be on Mon only and the other 2 teams will arrange to use the times
• Articles for MS have been run in the Roxborough paper and we are trying to get a contact to have them run in the S Phila Review and N Phila Times papers. Let me know if you have any contacts.

• Like last year, any team that wants to arrange a Tournament but get Board approval and must have all fund raising managed with Board oversight.

• Paul Barkley has volunteered to keep the school up to date with our game schedule and win/loss status. He will try to get regular announcements into the school TV news.
• Liz will send Steve a list of suggested web site enhancements.
