RULES and REGULATIONS
1. PARENT/SPECTATOR CONDUCT
A. All parents and spectators will conduct themselves in
an orderly, sportsmanlike and professional manner when attending Roman
Catholic Ice Hockey Club league or non-league games and events. Disorderly conduct in the rink, parking lot
etc. will not be tolerated, including (but not limited to) the following:
a) Parents going on the ice;
b) Parents going into the referee’s locker
room or opposing team’s locker room;
c) Physical abuse of referees, rink
employees, coaches or players;
d)
Verbal abuse of the above participants including obscene, racial, ethnic or sexual
slurs;
e) Physical or verbal abuse among parents or
spectators in the stands;
f) Any problems with crowd control which
results in the summoning of the police;
Roman Catholic Ice Hockey Club will not tolerate
any lack of conduct, sportsmanship or good will. All reports given to Roman
Catholic Ice Hockey Club by referees or rink management will be reviewed by
the Board for possible disciplinary action, and it is the express policy of the
Board that all players will be held responsible for the actions of their
parents, siblings, relatives or friends who attend a league or non-league game
or event. Disciplinary action may
therefore include suspension or expulsion of the player from the Club.
B. All club members, officers and parents are
responsible for their team’s spectators. They are expected to assist off-ice
officials in assuring proper spectator conduct.
C. Any fines which are imposed by a league upon
the Club for adverse conduct by a player, parent or spectator shall be paid by
the player and his family.
D. Parent(s) or spectators are not permitted to
approach a coach or assistant coach during league or non-league play for 24
hours after a the end of a game to discuss game play,
game situations or player’s ice time.
2. PLAYER/COACH CONDUCT
A. Players and coaches are reminded that they
are representatives of Roman Catholic High School and shall conduct themselves
at all times as gentlemen. High school players
SHALL wear a collared dress shirt and tie with appropriate pants when attending
games. The shirt will be tucked into the pants. Jeans and sweat pants are not
suitable. Middle school players are
exempt from wearing ties, however they are expected to
dress appropriately (no T-shirts, backwards caps, jeans hanging down below hips
or sweat pants allowed)
B. Players shall make all practices. If a player is unable to make a practice he
must contact the coach and obtain permission in advance of that practice. A player who does not contact his coach in
advance will sit the first period of the following game.
C. Club players are to present to the head coach
of their team a copy of both their game and practice schedules for their club
teams. Until a copy is received, all absences and any lateness will be considered
unexcused regardless of whether a phone call was made.
D.
Players and coaches will refrain from any gestures or comments directed at
other players, coaches, or spectators that are meant to embarrass or incite.
E.. Players and coaches will show due respect to the on ice and
off ice officials at all times.
F. Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated by
players or coaches.
G. Coaches may not allow the participation of
any player known to be ineligible for any reason.
H. Use of drugs,
alcohol or tobacco by players will not be tolerated.
