Playoffs
In spite of the leagues best efforts Roman prevails.

Roman knew they were in for a battle when they saw the "revised playoff schedule" which gave them four playoff games in five days and allowed their competition a three day break after the semifinal round.

In the semifinal round Roman would have to face Ridley in a 9:45 PM game. Roman played a great game and came out with a 9 - 2 victory. But the big challenge was yet to come as Roman would have to play Springfield for the Championship. Springfield had finished first in the league standings, suffering its only regular season lose to Roman. So going into the finals the Roman players had their work cutout for them.

Roman won the first game of the series easily dominating from the start and coming out with a 7 - 2 victory. On the third night fatigue and injuries began to take there toll and by the middle of the second period Roman's players had nothing left and would lose the game 4 - 1.

With one days rest Roman now was in a do or die situation as the three game series with Springfield would now be decided in one game. It was a tight game from the start but Springfield had the wind knocked out of its sails when Roman's goalie made a spectacular save to preserve Roman's slim 2 - 1 lead. A newly inspired Roman followed with two more goals to go on and win the Eastern High School Championship 4 - 1.
